Breakfast at Courtyard Marriott

10:00am – gather in the lobby of the hotel – depart for the National Collaboration for Youth meeting (agenda attached)

10:30am – 3:30pm – National Collaboration for Youth meeting

 

Return to hotel to spruce up to attend the Heartland Film Festival premiere

 

5:00pm – 5:45pm – Cocktail reception (business attire)

5:45pm – Dinner – Eiteljorg Museum

7:30pm – Film premiere at the IMAX Theatre – Amazing Grace

9:30pm – Film Makers private reception

 

Friday, October 20th

Breakfast at the Courtyard Marriott

10am – Youth Programming in Indiana – The Governor’s Office

Return to the hotel – free time for the rest of the day and evening

 

Saturday, October 21st

Breakfast at the Courtyard Marriott

9:15am – depart for the Journey Retreat

9:30am – registration for the Journey program

10:00am – 4:00pm – The Journey retreat (casual attire encouraged)

 

Return to the hotel to spruce up to attend the Journey Celebration – semi-formal attire – jackets/dresses 

 

5:00pm – Cocktail reception at the Marriott Ballroom

6:00pm – Dinner and Silent Auction

7:15pm – Program

9:00pm – Dancing and more cocktails!


Sunday, October 22nd

Check out of Courtyard Marriott – they will store your luggage at this hotel until after the football game –

9:00am - Join Journey folks for Colts Tailgating Breakfast at the other Marriott hotel

10:15am – Journey program continues (casual attire encouraged)

3:00pm – Journey program concludes –

3:30pm – Depart hotel for Indianapolis Colts football game

4:15pm – Kick-off for football game

 

After the game you will depart with your hosts for the home-stay segment of the exchange.

 

Monday, October 23rd

About the Journey Retreat:

 

About Leadership and Renewal Outfitters - the sponsoring organization

Leadership and Renewal Outfitters, is a national not-for-profit firm focused on creating inspiring and renewing opportunities for leaders and their organizations by:

The Journey Retreat:

 

Dates: Saturday, October 21 – Sunday, October 22, 2006

Times: Retreat opens 10am Saturday and closes at 3pm Sunday

Location:  Indianapolis Marriott Downtown, 350 W. Maryland Street

 

The Program will consist of modules and activities designed to connect the UK youth workers with the Indiana youth workers who have been part of the Journey Fellowship Program in a meaningful exchange of the things that inspire us and challenge us as we work with young people.

What to wear to the retreat:

 

Comfortable clothing – fall weather is usually moderately cool – temperatures from 55 – 75 degrees each day.

Walking shoes

 

All other supplies and meals will be provided during retreat times.

 

The Journey Gala:

Saturday evening, October 21st

Semi-formal dining, silent auction program and entertainment.
